My Mission
Home Grown
In the last two decades, Scott County’s population has grown nearly 45% – and is expected to continue to grow. During that same timeframe, the citizens of Scott County have had only three options to vote for as their County Attorney, including the incumbent, Ron Hocevar. I am running to give citizens of Scott County a new, different option. I bring a diverse background and broad skillset to a position and an office that is in need of change.
Scott County is my home. I first moved to Shakopee when I was two years old and grew up in Savage and Prior Lake. Following my service in the Marine Corps, I returned to Prior Lake and eventually began working at the Scott County Attorney’s Office as a law student. After graduation, I was hired as an attorney in the County Attorney’s Office.
My Call to Action
My firsthand experience with the justice system in Scott County allowed me to experience the issues and challenges currently faced within this community. Collaborating with justice partners during the creation of Veterans Treatment Court helped me understand there are solutions to these challenges that simply haven’t been implemented.
Empowering Our Community
The citizens of Scott County deserve more than three choices in twenty years when deciding who is best suited to make policy decisions about the justice system in their community. During those two decades, the Scott County justice system has failed to adapt to our thriving community’s growth and evolution. We need a justice system that incorporates modern advancements to ensure those who enter the system in need of help receive necessary services with the goal of rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. The system must also prioritize public safety by ensuring those who refuse or are incapable of rehabilitation and reintegration are held accountable under the law.
